Scripture for the day

July 19  2010
Acts 12: 24
But the word grew and multiplied.

I have not been able to put any pictures on to day but will keep on trying until I can. This thing they call computer is beyond me sometimes. My only hope is that you will see the scripture and read what is says for your self and it will give you something to think about and enlighten you day.
When I get into the scripture it gives me soothing feeling  and I can know that the Lord is there for me in what ever I do.

I am not a bible scholar and do not intend to try to explain any thing, just get a great reward when I read Gods word. I only suggest you try it and see what it does for you.

At this age my life is not too lively so will tell you what is growing and I have to look forward to. The figs are getting ripe and the scuppernongs and pears are on their way. My  daughter has been picking the figs and putting them in her freezer so when it gets cold weather she can cook duck and use the figs. In fact I think she has already ordered two ducks. I have a grand-son-in-law that is a chef so he will wont to do that to.
I only have one tree that is loaded but have three or four that has a few on them.

Maybe if the sun shines I can get out and make pictures of things with this new camera and put on for the next blog. Right now we are having rainy weather but it will make the figs and pears larger.

I live in the south and sometimes the fruit varies as to when it gets ripe and I am on a hill so I never know just when to expect things to ripen, things do get cold around here in the winter.

I do have nephews, children and friends to bring in cantaloupe, vegetables and watermelon and  sometimes I don't know what to do with it all but  that is the way it is in the summertime, you just have to put all you can  in the freezer and eat all you can and thank the Lord that it is there for you.

If you have time to look at this blog pleas feel free to add a comment and email me if you like and I will get back to  you. Louise
